Located in Woodbury CT, a small picturesque New England town known for its antiques, farm to table restaurants and scenic roads. Terrell House is part of a 30 acre horse farm, home to a variety of four legged friends, including miniatures and pet pigs. Guests are welcome to bring their dogs and stalls are available for those wishing to bring their equine partners for some local trail riding. The house it a traditional 2 bedroom cape with additional sleeping accommodations for another 2 to 4 guests. There is a pull down murphy bed in the tv room and a daybed in the other sitting room. The main bath is on the second floor, with a 1/2 bath off the mud room on the main floor. A fully equipped and newly updated open space kitchen and breakfast bar make cooking and entertaining easy and fun. Wifi and cable are available. This lovely cape is set back from the main road but close enough to town to be in the center of historic Woodbury in 5 minutes. For those wishing to hike and bike, there are any number of state and town parks within 30 minutes, including The Larkin State Park Trail, Steep Rock Park, Kettletown State Park, and Kent Falls.

Please note that dining table only seats two, but there are two TV tables. Also, adding additional portable beds significantly reduces the floor space! Some families have opted for their kids to sleep on the couch and love seat in sleep sacks we provide. Also available with advance request: a standard crib, high chair, baby monitor (think "hot tub"), stroller and baby backpack. The front yard has a playset, tree swing, bocce, horseshoes, charcoal grill, and dining set. Backyard has a three-level deck, swimming pool with deck lounge chairs and umbrella table, screen porch with hot tub, gas and charcoal grills, picnic table, outdoor living room, fire pit with seating, and a hammock in the woods. We have our own private deck and a top-floor deck so you may never see us! All outdoor spaces are accessible to our guests, with the exception of the aforementioned private decks. Prior notification is requested for use of the hot tub and gas grill. Fee for an approved dog is $15 per dog per night. Please request a copy of and agree to the doggie rules; and tell us something about your pet. Bus, rail, Uber, Lyft and Enterprise Rental cars all available, as is pizza, Peapod (grocery), and GrubHub delivery. We have a herd of deer, a rafter of turkeys including three huge toms in the spring, an abnormally large and jaunty red fox, a pack of coyotes, a rarely-seen bobcat, and birds of every feather, including woodpeckers, owls, and vultures. Oh, and squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits! NOTE JAN 2019: Four of our last 5 guests have not had a car and all had a memorable experience. Ask!
